SMS Privacy Notice

This SMS Privacy Notice explains how 1000183181 Ontario Inc., operating as Bar Crawl Connect ("we", "us"), collects and uses information in connection with the text messages we send to venue and business partners in our event partnership program.

This SMS Privacy Notice and our SMS Messaging Terms apply to the following programs and sites operated by 1000183181 Ontario Inc.: Bar Crawl Connect, Fright Crawl (frightcrawl.com) and Trick or Drink (trickordrink.ca).

1. Information we collect

We collect your mobile phone number and the content of the messages exchanged with you. We obtain your number through prior direct business contact (email and phone) with partners who have confirmed interest in our event partnership program.

2. How we use it

We use your phone number and messages solely to communicate with you about the partnership program — to coordinate logistics, confirm participation, share event information, and answer questions. We do not use this information for third-party marketing.

Our messages may sometimes include embedded links — for example, a link to an event you're booking with us so you can view the event page, or a link to our website so you can see the status of your events and any important information you may need at a glance. Following a link is optional and simply opens a standard web page; it does not share any additional information about you.

2A. Consumer opt-in (crawl text alerts)

For our public bar-crawl brands — including Fright Crawl (frightcrawl.com) and Trick or Drink (trickordrink.ca) — we collect the mobile phone number you submit through the opt-in form on the brand website, together with a record of your consent (the date/time and the site you opted in from). We use this information only to send the crawl text alerts you asked for — crawl-night updates, venue changes, line warnings and stop reminders. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Mobile opt-in information collected this way is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing, and is never sold.

3. How we share it (and how we don't)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that provide support services — for example our SMS provider, Twilio — solely to help us deliver these messages, and those providers are contractually restricted from using the information for any other purpose. We never sell your phone number or SMS opt-in consent. We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Opting out

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. See our SMS Messaging Terms.

5. Data retention

We retain message records only as long as needed for the partnership relationship and to meet legal or operational requirements, after which they are deleted.
