SMS Messaging Terms

These SMS Messaging Terms govern the text-message program operated by 1000183181 Ontario Inc., operating as Bar Crawl Connect ("we", "us", or "Bar Crawl Connect"). By participating in our event partnership program and providing your mobile number through prior direct business contact, you agree to these terms.

These SMS Messaging Terms and our SMS Privacy Notice apply to the following programs and sites operated by 1000183181 Ontario Inc.: Bar Crawl Connect, Fright Crawl (frightcrawl.com) and Trick or Drink (trickordrink.ca).

1. Program description

This program sends low-volume, conversational text messages from Bar Crawl Connect to venue and business partners who have an existing relationship with us. Messages are used to coordinate partnership logistics, confirm participation details, share event information, and answer partner questions. Messages are sent one-to-one, infrequently, and at low throughput.

Our messages may sometimes include embedded links — for example, a link to an event you're booking with us so you can view the event page, or a link to our website so you can see the status of your events and any important information you may need at a glance. Following a link is always optional.

2. How you opted in (consent)

Recipients are venues and businesses we have already contacted by email or phone and who have confirmed interest in participating in our event partnership program. Consent to receive text messages is obtained through that prior direct business contact. We do not purchase phone numbers, and we do not message anyone with whom we do not already have an established business relationship.

2A. Consumer opt-in — crawl text alerts (Fright Crawl, Trick or Drink)

In addition to the partner program described above, we operate a consumer text-alert program for our public bar-crawl brands, including Fright Crawl (frightcrawl.com) and Trick or Drink (trickordrink.ca). If you sign up on one of these websites, you provide consent by entering your mobile number in the opt-in form and ticking the consent checkbox (which is unchecked by default) to agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages about the crawl. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. These messages include crawl-night updates such as venue changes, line warnings, stop reminders and related event information (for example: "FrightCrawl: Stop 2 is now The Crypt on Adelaide — skip the line with your wristband. Reply STOP to opt out"). Message frequency varies and is highest around each crawl date. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time (see the sections below), and we never share or sell mobile opt-in information.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Messages are conversational and sent on an as-needed basis to coordinate partnership details — there is no recurring scheduled blast.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Bar Crawl Connect does not charge a fee to send or receive these messages.

5. Opting out and getting help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send any further texts unless you opt back in.

6. Privacy

We respect your privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and message content are used only to communicate with you about the partnership program. See our SMS Privacy Notice for full details on how we handle your information.

7. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers and delivery are subject to change.
